Moving Forward with Social Media

So, you have been told by a business colleague that you need to be on LinkedIn/facebook/twitter and have a blog to market your business. You have set up your accounts on all these but you are not seeing any results. You might not know what to say or have time to say it. You might not really see how it can benefit your business.

This is a problem that many people have: they don’t know how to make social media work.

Because so many people are struggling to take the next steps I have teamed up with Caroline Anderson of Business Boots and Alison Wren of Paprika Marketing to run some workshops looking at Moving Forward with Social Media.

The event will be a practical workshop in which we will share our knowledge and experience to help you make the most of the emerging platforms.

You will learn:

  • How to develop a social media strategy for your business
  • How and when to use the different tools
  • How to evaluate your social media campaigns
  • How to manage your time spent on social media.

You will go away a schedule of subjects you can utilise on social media and comprehensive notes as well as the inspiration and knowledge to use social media as an integral part of your marketing plan.

Caroline Anderson is the first person in the north of England to graduate in the new City & Guilds ITQ Social Media qualification offered by Concise Training and DawsonLoane.  She works with many companies in developing their social media strategy.

Alison Wren has extensive online marketing experience gained from creating and running her own successful ecommerce business. Before opting for self employment, Alison’s previous experience included delivering training for Hewlett Packard across Europe.

I will be sharing my experiences of how I have built my business over the last year by gaining clients from twitter and using it to promote my business.

The first course will be on 25th January at 09:00 – 12:30 in the Eco Business Centre on Clifton Moor York. Price (including on-line booking fee) is £65. Book Now
