Fashion City York 2017 starts today and I am delighted to be part of the Steering Committee that has bought the fabulous Six Days of Style to venues across the City.
Not only will there be a two-day Fashion Village in the marquee on Parliament Street and a Vintage Village on the Sunday, but there are events across the City. Venues include Betty’s, The Principal Hotel, The Grand Hotel, The Library, Fossgate Social, City Screen, Lotte Inch Gallery and Flax and Twine. Once again Brown’s are putting on a series of events and there will also be in-store events at Sea Salt and Pure Collection.
Then there are the competitions run by Maude and Tommy and The Racecourse.
On the Catwalk
In true Sam style I will be strutting my stuff (my annual show-off) on the cat walk. I’ll be Striking a Pose in my unusual wedding dress at Dr Sketchy’s Anti-Art School on Thursday 6th – tickets available on the door at City Screen. Then on Friday and Saturday afternoons I’ll be in the marquee modelling clothes for the fabulous Claire from Little Ditsy and Shelley from Life and Soul.
A summary of the main events are in this calendarcalendar_2017-04-03_2017-04-10
The team that has brought the Six Days of Style to York this year have been led by Angela Horner, the marketing by Nicky Hayer of Nima Consultancy; the events by Ellen Davies of Lnd Events and Sarah Sargent has kept on top of the money. They really are a star team and I’m looking forward to working with them again next year.
